Course
- Reading habits
Good reading habits is a very important aspect of child education, therefore, our school has incorporated a parent-child reading scheme. Each week parents can help their child choose a book from our library of various topics, themes and stories. We will also regularly invite parents to come to read stories for the students in order to improve their listening ability and interest in books. In addition, teachers will set aside time each week to allow students to read and discuss a set theme.
- School Characteristics:Bilingual and trilingual teaching
Each week, native speakers will teach English and Mandarin to help the students learn these languages in a natural and enjoyable atmosphere. Each level will be suitable to the abilities of the students (K1, K2 and K3). Various teaching methods will be employed to ensure an interesting and pleasant teaching environment. The goal is to produce a tri-lingual student that is comfortable using three languages when needed.
-
Drama activity
In order to develop different aspects of our student’s intelligence, we incorporate Chinese/English drama as a teaching method. The aim is to help students express themselves both vocally and with physical expression. Students have a chance to be creative and imaginative when acting out a story.
- Life study activity
Each classroom has different themed study areas. Students have the opportunity to choose any of the areas to play in. The aim is to expose the students to everyday experiences, such as, the kitchen, a supermarket, etc., to help teach them the objects and vocabulary from each area. This will help keep their school life varied and interesting while at the same time educating students in these everyday themes.
